CHAMBER CONCERT - REMEMBERING PARIS

Opera

The new SND building, SND Opera Chamber
The SND Opera continues with its popular series of Sunday Chamber Concerts, which was created at the initiative of several members of the SND Opera Orchestra also in the 2023/24 Season. Their common ambition was to pursue chamber music for both traditional and less traditional instrumental combinations alongside their extensive opera and ballet repertoire. The initial instrumental character of the events was later extended to chamber music recitals by soloists of the Slovak National Theatre Opera. A characteristic common feature of the individual concerts is also the participation of members of the SND Drama Company, directors or dramaturgs, who perform in the programme with short literary contributions.

The first new year’s chamber concert at the Opera Salon is going to feature exceptional brass players, members and guests of the Orchestra of the Slovak National Theatre Opera, together with the pianist Klaudia Kosmeleva in compositions by French composers. Poems and texts by Milan Lasica will be read by the actor Daniel Žulčák.
