The tenor Pavol Breslik has made major contribution to the worldwide reputation of Slovak vocal art. His performances in Berlin State Opera, at the Glyndenbourne festival, Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, Royal Opera houses in Brussels and London, the Metropolitan Opera in New York, or in the Vienna State Opera ranked him among the crème de la crème in contemporary vocal performing art. Audiences in the finest opera houses have seen Mr Breslik in such roles as Tamino (The Magic Flute), Nemorino (L’ elisir d’amore), Edgardo (Lucia di Lammermoor), Roberto (Mary Stuart), Alfredo (La Traviata), Jeník (The Bartered Bride), Duke (Rigoletto), Lensky (Eugene Onegin), Macduff (Macbeth), or Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni). Mr Breslik also enjoys performing works by contemporary authors and 20th-century classics. In his feature concert he will host the SND Opera soloists Eva Hornyáková, Ľubica Vargicová and Pavol Remenár. Arias, duets and ensembles by Italian and French masters shall be conducted by Rastislav Štúr.
